NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF COMPLETE APPLICATION AND NOTICE OF A PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING A PROPOSED OFFICIAL PLAN AMENDMENT TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the County of Perth will hold a Public Meeting on February 16, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers at the County Court House (1 Huron St., Stratford) to consider an Amendment to the County of Perth Official Plan. The Amendment is being considered pursuant to the provisions of the Ontario Planning Act.
(Please note: This Public Meeting was previously scheduled for February 2, 2017)
The proposed Official Plan Amendment (OPA) application (which the County has deemed to be complete) affects property in the Municipality of North Perth described as Part of Park Lot 5, Plan 194, Wallace Ward. The subject property is owned by James Andrew Bennett and Mary Ellen Koch. The proposed OPA would extend the boundary of the Listowel Serviced Urban Area to encompass the subject property, and would change the land use designation of the subject property (shown in hatching on the attached map) from the “Agriculture” designation to the “Special Policy Area “F”” designation. The proposed policies for the “Special Policy Area “F”” are consistent with the “Residential” policies of the Listowel Ward Official Plan.
The proposed OPA is being considered by County Council on the basis of an application submitted by the Municipality of North Perth on behalf of the property owners.
ANY PERSON may attend the Public Meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of, or in opposition to, the proposed Official Plan Amendment.
If you wish to be notified of the adoption of the proposed Official Plan Amendment, or of the refusal of a request to amend the Official Plan Amendment, you must make a written request to the Clerk of the County of Perth (Jillene Bellchamber-Glazier) at the address below.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a Public Meeting or make written submissions to the Council of the Corporation of the County of Perth before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council of the Corporation of the County of Perth to the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB).
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a Public Meeting or make written submissions to the Council of the Corporation of the County of Perth before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the OMB unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
